Agreement in the centre-right on electoral law, hypotheses judging between coalitions

ROMA (ITALPRESS) – An agreement would have been reached in the centreright for the modification of the electoral law in view of the policies of 2027. The scheme of maximum agreed between the majority forces, aims to ensure stability with the abolition of the uninominal colleges and the introduction of a proportional system with a governmental award to the coalition that exceeds 40% of the votes, as well as landing at 3%. There would also be the possibility of recourse to the ballot but only in the residual case that the first and second coalition had to obtain between 35% and 40% of the votes.

In the agreement there would be the inclusion of the obligation to indicate in the coalition program of the candidate for the premiership, to be proposed to the President of the Republic, as well as on the list of coalitions for the election of 70 MPs and 35 senators resulting from the possible majority prize. There would still be no agreement on the method of election of parliamentarians linked to party lists.
