ROMA (ITALPRESS) – On the occasion of the National Day of the Republic of Serbia, the embassy in Rome organized a reception at the Palazzo delle Esposizioni yesterday, 25 February. According to a statement of the diplomatic mission, among the guests were Tamara Vucic, wife of the head of state Aleksandar Vucic, vice-premier and Minister of Economy, Adrijana Mesarovic, as well as members of Serbian and Italian parliaments. Among the Italian guests, the president of the Constitutional Court Giovanni Amoroso and the deputypremier and minister of Infrastructures and Transports, Matteo Salvini.
The reception was opened by the quintet of the Italian Aeronautics Band, which inspired the national hymns of Serbia and Italy. Immediately after the ambassador of Serbia in Rome, Mirjana Jeremic, welcomed the present. Vice-Premier Matteo Salvini and Serbian Deputy Premier Mesarovic also spoke. Both stressed the importance of bilateral cooperation and historical links between the two countries. The reception, concluded the note, once again represented a significant moment to strengthen the already solid diplomatic and cultural relations between Serbia and Italy, confirming the traditional friendship and collaboration between the two peoples.
