ROMA (ITALPRESS) – “Governing the impact of AI on work is a shared responsibility: Institutions, enterprises, social partners, scientific communities.” This was said by the President of the Council, Giorgia Meloni, in a message sent to the conference “Ia e lavoro: govern the transformation, multiply the opportunities”. For the premier, “we were accustomed to a progress that aimed at optimizing human capacities and which concentrated essentially on replacing physical work, in a world where man remained at the centre. Artificial intelligence has overturned this paradigm, because it is no longer man’s physical work, but his intellect, that is what has always made man irreplaceable by a machine.”.
The premier underlined that “if this process is not governed, more and more workers risk becoming useless and the scenario we have ahead is that of a progressive impoverishment of the middle class. That is why we are convinced that AI is a technology that can release all its positive potential only if its development will move in a perimeter of ethical rules that center the person, his rights and his needs. This is the compass that has oriented and will continue to orientate the work of the government, at every level,” he concluded. (ITALPRESS).
