TORINO (ITALPRESS) – Suzuki will be for the second consecutive year Moto del Giro d’Italia 2026. The partnership between Suzuki and RCS Sport & Events will not be limited to Giro d’Italia alone, scheduled from 8 to 31 May next, but will involve all the most important international classic races registered by RCS Sport & Events: Strade Bianche, Strade Bianche Women, Tirreno-Adriatico, Milan-Turin, Milan-Sanremo and Lombardy among the Classics Monument, as well as Sanremo Women, Giro d’Abruzzo, Giro d’Italia
RCS Sport & Events has chosen Suzuki at its side, recognizing the House of Hamamatsu a great affinity with the pedal world and its commitment to sustainable mobility, in which the bicycle is protagonist with great respect among all the users of the road. Suzuki motorcycles in support of athletes in the race represent the emblem of how the brand of Hamamatsu is at home wherever there are passion, determination and dreams to be realized. A commitment that not only concerns customers, but embraces the whole world of sport. Even before the opponents, each cyclist faces the challenge with himself, trying to overcome their limits to achieve ambitious goals. Suzuki is always alongside those who put love and dedication in every gesture, in everyday life as in sports practice, supporting those who live their passion with authenticity and commitment.
Suzuki will make available to the Giro d’Italia 2026 circuit, a fleet of more than 70 motorcycles to guarantee operational and logistic support to the event. The V-Strom 800DE will be the protagonist of the Strade Bianche, the first of the events to approach the Giro d’Italia. Strade Bianche will take place on Sunday, March 8 with its iconic combination of dirt and breathtaking views. The departure is provided by the Medici Fortress, while the arrival will take place in the splendid setting of Piazza del Campo.
The Adventure Tourer of Hamamatsu, equipped with a 776 cc parallel bicylinder engine with a power of 84 hp and a 78 Nm torque, guarantees excellent performance on every route. The long-distance suspensions, excellent aerodynamic protection and the 20-litre tank complete the profile of a reliable and versatile vehicle. It stands out on the most demanding terrain thanks to its reliability, high comfort and unparalleled dynamic balance. Quality that, combined with brilliant performance and high efficiency, make this model the ideal companion for those seeking freedom and want to live it fully on two wheels.
Alongside the V-Strom 800DE, V-Strom 1050DE and V-Strom 1050SE will also be engaged, models designed to address with safety and stability mixed paths and long distances. The two V-Strom 1050 models expand the presence of the Adventure range in supporting the organization, offering generous couple, advanced electronic support systems and excellent load capacity: key elements in the operational conditions of cycling races.
Another protagonist of the pink races will be the GSX-S1000GT, the Grand Tourer that combines high performance and comfort, becoming perfect for prolonged use on the roads of the competition. The bike is driven by a four-cylinder engine in line by 999 cc cooled to liquid, with a power of about 152 CV and a maximum torque of about 106 Nm, able to offer a fluid dispensing on the whole turn curve. The cyclist is based on a lightweight aluminum frame and suspensions designed to balance agility and stability, while the braking system is entrusted to Brembo front and Nissin rear calipers for a powerful and controlled braking.
To complete the fleet between Hamamatsu sports cars there will also be the GSX-S1000GX, the high-performance crossover designed to combine comfort, stability and ability to absorb soil asperities thanks to the electronic suspension and the evolved package of driving aids.Its balance between agility and solidity makes it an ideal means for dynamic tasks required during competitions.
