TEL AVIV (ISRAELE) (ITALPRESS) – Israeli Defence Minister Israel Katz announced that he had approved, together with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, the army’s advance and the conquest of further territory in Lebanon, “to prevent fire on Israeli border communities.” The Israeli Defense Forces announced that they started the ground operation in southern Lebanon, just over 24 hours after the launch of rockets and drones by the Lebanese armed group Hezbollah, Iran’s proxy. According to the statement, “the Idf are working to create an additional level of security for northern Israel residents, through large-scale attacks on Hezbollah infrastructure, in order to counter threats and prevent attempts to infiltration in Israeli territory.”.

The IDF is working to create an additional level of security for northern residents, through large-scale attacks on Hezbollah infrastructure, in order to counter threats and prevent infiltration attempts in the territory of the State of Israel. “The terrorist organization Hezbollah has chosen to join the campaign and act on behalf of Iran and will assume the consequences of their actions. The IDF will not allow harm to the citizens of the State of Israel and will continue to act in any way to protect them,” he said.

Two drones hit the U.S. embassy at Riad in the night. The Saudi Ministry of Defence confirmed the attack that caused a “small fire and slight damage to the building”, but there are no satisfactorily or wounded. The Guard Corps of the Islamic Revolution (Irgc) of Iran declared that they had begun operations to destroy the “American political centers” in the region. “The explosion at the embassy is a step in this direction,” wrote Irgc on Telegram.
The attack took place a few hours after the US State Department had advised citizens of fourteen countries in the region, including Saudi Arabia, Jordan and Lebanon, to evacuate the area.
