An earthquake of magnitude 3.0 was recorded at 18:04, by the National Institute of Geophysics and Vulcanology, 2 kilometers south of Militello in Val di Catania. The event was located at a depth of 10 kilometers. Shortly before, at 17:39, a shock of magnitude 2.6 was detected at 2 kilometers southwest of Ragalna, at a depth of 5 kilometers. Yesterday, in the area were at least fifteen shocks detected by the National Institute of Geophysics and Vulcanology, the strongest of magnitude 4.5, the other between magnitude 1.2 and 2.7.
