New Mercedes-Benz CLA Hybrid, when diesel passes the witness

ROMA (ITALPRESS) – The new Mercedes-Benz CLA expands its offer by focusing on greater efficiency, technology and flexibility in the engines. The model introduces a new generation of hybrid engines that, for performance and consumption, are to replace the diesel supply of the previous range. The compact saloon of the Stella comes with more athletic proportions, an illuminated radiator grill and an even more digital cabin, thanks to the proprietary MB.OS operating system and the fourth generation of MBUX with artificial intelligence integration developed with Microsoft and Google. Under the hood a new 1.5 litre turbo engine is fully electrified, available in three levels of power and 4MATIC front or integral traction. The hybrid system allows you to travel in completely electric mode at low urban speeds and to exploit the function of “setting” up to about 100 km/h, with energy recovery in all eight marches.

The new automatic transmission with double eight-speed clutch directly integrates the electric motor and is powered by a 48 volt lithium-ion battery. The propeller belongs to the new FAME modular family and uses the Miller combustion cycle to reduce consumption: in the CLA 180 version the stated data is around five litres per 100 kilometers, placing it among the most efficient of the Mercedes-Benz range. The new CLA offers four different versions: Advanced, Advanced Plus, Premium and Premium Plus can be further customized through exclusive aesthetic lines and equipment packages. Prices from € 47,296 for CLA 180 Advanced.
