MILAN (ITALPRESS) – A principle of fire developed on the roof of tram 27: because of the detachment of a cable of the high voltage of the line that triggered a contact and therefore a flame with smoke.
The incident occurred shortly after 9:00 this morning in via Marco Bruto, east of the Lombard capital. The driver immediately stopped the vehicle and dropped the passengers safely. None of them were hurt.
The flames were then tamed by the firefighters arrived on the spot. An accident that has nothing to do with the derailed tram in Porta Venezia at the end of February.
In Milan ATM (Company Trasporti Milanesi) has 17 active tram lines, 160 km of network and over 5 thousand rides per day.
