MONACO DI BAVIERA (GERMANY) (ITALPRESS) – Coherence and resilience: the BMW Group has maintained its route in 2025, despite significant obstacles. Thanks to its wide range of models available in all propulsion technologies, a growing and globally balanced business model and a strategic cost management, the BMW Group has again recorded a profit before taxes greater than 10 billion euros. Despite the negative effects of duties, the company maintained stable EBT margin at 7.7%(2024: 7.7%). As in the previous year, the net profit of the Group exceeded 7 billion euros, laying the foundations for a proposal to divide in line with 2024.
“Strategic vision, excellent operational performance and high reliability have always been the distinctive features of the BMW Group. From the beginning, we have outlined the course for the company’s future success, based on three solid pillars: our technologically neutral approach, our strong global presence and our attractive brands and products,” said Oliver Zipse, Chairman of the Board of Directors of BMW AG.
“In recent years, we have chosen the right strategic positioning. Today we are harvesting the fruits: in a difficult context, we do not need to change direction, but we can keep the course and continue to implement our strategy systematically.”.
The diversity of its product range remains a key factor in success for the BMW Group: the company is well positioned to meet the different needs and demands of customers globally – both today and in the future – thanks to a wide range of engines that includes internal combustion engines, plug-in hybrids, battery-powered electric drives and, starting from 2028, also hydrogen-powered fuel cell electric vehicles. At the same time, this approach is also fundamental for an effective reduction of CO2 emissions: in 2025 the company slightly exceeded the ambitious objectives of the European Union (EU 27+2), with fleet emissions of 90 grams per kilometre, without resorting to mechanisms of flexibility or pooling. This shows once again how the technologically neutral approach and climate protection go hand in hand in the BMW Group.
