In the Italian night Rybakina, number 3 of the world and seeding, was set on the American Jessica Pegula, fifth of the Wta and tabellone classification, with the score of 6-1 7-6(4), while Svitolina (9) bent the Polish Iga Swiatek (2) for 6-2 4-6 6-4. In the other semi-finals, the Belarusian Aryna Sabalenka (1) and the Czech Linda Noskova (14).
PAOLINI/ERRANI SCONFITTE IN SEMIFINALE
Jasmine Paolini and Sara Errani close their route in the semifinals in the double-female tournament. In the semifinals the Olympics in charge, series heads number 1, were beaten for 6-2 6-2, in 59 minutes of play, by the formation composed by the American Taylor Townsend and the Czech Katerina Siniakova, third favorite seeding.
