ROMA (ITALPRESS) – More than a thousand – among volunteers, presidents of Pro Loco and mayors – participated in the event organized yesterday at the Ergife Palace Hotel in Rome that opened the two days of events dedicated to the delivery of the brands “Sagra di qualità” and “Event of Quality”, which ended with the institutional ceremony in the Senate in today’s day. The presidents of the Pro Loco awarded the recognition accompanied by the mayors in the prestigious Sala Koch received the plates, assigned by UNPLI (National Union of Pro Loco of Italy), “Sagra di qualità” and “Event of Quality”. Two important days that celebrated the constant work of the Pro Loco in the protection of traditions, in the promotion of local identities and in the valorization of cultural, material and intangible heritage of the territories. The festivals and quality events represent manifestations capable of telling the history of the places, preserving traditions, promoting typical products and strengthening the link between communities, culture and local development. The event was also the occasion to underline the great work that UNPLI has been doing for years for communication – creating ad hoc television formats like Sagre d’Italia (Food Network), Linea Verde Tradizioni (RAI 1), Azzurro Storie di mare (RAI 1) that have totaled more than 25 million spectators, in addition to the publications realized: from the Guide to Quality Festivals and Events to the traditions of Beppe Convertini. Present at the event conducted by Beppe Convertini, Antonino La Spina, President of UNPLI, Senator Antonio De Poli, Giusina Battaglia, journalist and face of Food Network, Sandro Pappalardo, President of Ita Airways who underlined the value of the work of Pro Loco in tourism promotion, especially small centres, which thanks to the festivals and events organized throughout the year contribute to the seasonalization of tourist flows. The occasion was also underlined by the delivery by RINA, one of the leading international certification bodies – of the ISO 9001 certification for the event organization process, witnessing the adoption of structured and continuous improvement procedures. “Pro Loco volunteers are the ambassadors of the territories and it is everyone’s duty to work today to recognize the importance of this extraordinary world, even from the legislative point of view. The bill, presented by me and undersigned by all parliamentary groups, aims to enhance the Pro Loco and the great commitment of the 600,000 volunteers through a strong deburocratization of procedures for the organization of demonstrations in the territories. We have received the positive opinions from the competent ministers on the ddl, so in the next few months we hope you can start the process in the Commission and in the House for approval by the end of the year”, said Senator De Poli. “The Quality Festivals and Quality Events represent the truest soul of our territories. Through these awards, UNPLI aims to enhance the extraordinary commitment of Pro Loco and their volunteers, while at the same time offering citizens and visitors a clear reference to identify authentic events, rooted in the community and closely connected to the territory – said Antonino La Spina, president of UNPLI -. Every year the Pro Loco, thanks to the tireless work of the many volunteers involved, carry out over 110 thousand events, of these 20 thousand are wise. This process confirms Unpli’s commitment to improving the efficiency and safety of organized events, with a view to a constant improvement in quality.” The brands “Sagra di qualità” and “Event of Quality” promoted by UNPLI, reward festivals and events that authentically represent the identity of the teritalian directors. This is not only a gastronomic event, but a demonstration that preserves traditions, collective memory and contribute to the economic and social vitality of local communities. The awards, symbol of authenticity, reliability and quality, are assigned according to rigorous criteria and field controls, enhancing festivals and events related to typical products, local recipes, but also rituals and traditions with a strong rooting with the territory. The Quality Festivals 2025 awarded in Abruzzo are the Sagra della triglia and the fried fish of the Pro Loco di Villa San Nicola, in the province of Chieti, and the “Sagra delle Pappardelle al Sugo di Papera” of the Pro Loco di Montegualtieri, in the province of Teramo. In Campania there are the “Festa dello Struppolo” of the Pro Loco di San Salvatore Telesino, in the province of Benevento, the “Sagra degli Gnocchi” of the Pro Loco di Rocca d’Evandro, in the province of Caserta, the “Sagra delle Pallottole” of the Pro Loco di Real Sito – San Leucio, in the province of Caserta, the “SagraPS delle Noci e del Vino Asprinio” In Emilia-Romagna the awards go to “A zzùen al màial… in Piàza!” of the Pro Loco di Tresigallo APS, in the province of Ferrara, to the “Festa del Salame” of Sarmato, in the province of Piacenza, to the “Fera dal Busslanein” of the Pro Loco Amis in San Niculo”, in the province of Piacenza In Friuli Venezia Giulia stand out the “Festa dei Funghi e dell’Ambiente” of Pro Loco Budoia, in the province of Pordenone and “Gemona, cheese… and surroundings” of Pro Loco Glemona, in the province of Udine. Latium was awarded the “Sagra del Pesce” of Pro Loco Anguillara, in the province of Rome. In Lombardy the brand was assigned to the “Sagra del Pursèl” of Pro Loco di Fiesse, in the province of Brescia, to the “Sagra delle Migole” of Pro Loco di Malonnese, in the province of Brescia, and to the “Festa dei Crotti” of Pro Loco di Albavilla, in the province of Como. In the Marches it was recognized “Leguminaria” of Pro Loco Appignano, in the province of Macerata. In Piedmont the “Anlòt id San Bastiaun” of the Pro Loco Pozzolese, in the province of Alessandria, the “Sagra delle Tagliatelle” of the Pro Loco di Cremolino, in the province of Alessandria, the “Sagra del Polentone di Bubbio”, in the province of Asti, the “Sagra dell’Asparago di Santena”, of the Pro Loco di Santena Apssola In Puglia he is awarded “Cardoncello on the Road” by Pro Loco Ruvo di Puglia, in the province of Bari. In Campania “Tra i Vicoli di Cautano” by Pro Loco Cepino Prata, “Borgo Vagare – Festival dei Sapori Antichi e delle Tipicità dei Territori” by Pro Loco San Lupo, in the province of Benevento and ‘Casavecchia e Pallagrello Wine Festival’ by Pro Loco Pontelatone, in the province of Caserta. In Emilia-Romagna it is recognized “Calici Santarcangelo” of the Pro Loco di Santarcangelo di Romagna, in the province of Rimini. In the Lazio figure “Le Tentavecchie” of Pro Loco Gradoli, in the province of Viterbo. In Lombardy there is the “Festa della Transumanza” of the Pro Loco Borno Association, “Giardini d’agrumi” of Pro Loco Gargnano in the province of Brescia and “La Camminata della Salutè della Pro Loco di Guidizzolo di Mantova. In the Marche are awarded the “Festa dell’uva di Arcevia” of the Pro Loco di Arcevia in the province of Ancona, ‘Templaria Festival” of the Pro Loco di Castignano, in the province of Ascoli Piceno and “Candele a Candelara” in the province of Pesaro Urbino.
