TEHERAN (IRAN) (ITALPRESS) – On the 23rd day, the conflict between the United States and Israel on the one hand and Iran on the other. In the night, according to the TV at Arabiya, between Sunday and Monday new waves of air raids hit Iranian military targets, including a naval base of the Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC) in Beyza, Fars province, in the south of the country, as reported by Iranian media sources. According to the same sources, a missile complex was targeted at Yazd (Iranian center) and a site in Khorramabad, capital of the province of Lorraine, in the west. Explosions have shaken several areas of Tehran, with anti-aircraft defenses activated in the north, east and central sectors of the capital. Boats are reported in areas such as Nobonyad (north), Niavaran and Sorkheh Hesar, with smoke columns spotted in the Kashanak area.
Other deflations were heard at Bandar Abbas (where a person was killed in a raid, according to the Mehr agency) and at Bushehr, in the south. The previous day was announced the killing, in a US-Israeli air strike in Shiraz, of commander IRGC Ebrahim Mortazavi. On the opposite side, Iranian missiles were intercepted by Israeli defence systems over Tel Aviv. Shrapnel of an ordigno caused damage in central areas of Israel, according to local average. Tehran also reported the failure of a launch of a “Hiperssonic” hypersonic missile, crashed over the base of Bidkaneh in Malard, west of the capital. The US Central Command (CENTCOM) confirmed on X the continuation of operations to neutralize the Iranian launch capabilities of one-way attack drones: “The American forces continue to destroy the capabilities of drones of a single-way attack of the Iranian regime.”.
KATAIB HEZBOLLAH PROLUNGA SOSPENSIONE ATTACCHI SULL’AMBASCIATA USA A BAGHDAD
The Kataib Hezbollah, the main Iranian Shiite militia, today announced the extension for five more days of the suspension of attacks against the US embassy in Baghdad. The decision follows three air raids on the night between Sunday and Monday from group positions in the Jorf al-Sakhr area, area of its main presence and where there are also its brigades integrated into the forces of Hashd al-Shaabi (Mobilitation Popular). A Kataib spokesman confirmed that last night’s hits were directed specifically against the group. However, the militia denied any involvement in a drone attack that hit the Iraqi intelligence headquarters in Baghdad.
In today’s release, the Kataib Hezbollah stated that they will extend the five-day “trigua” initially announced last Thursday, but they launched a warning: “We will treat with enemy violations and inform the mediator about the response mechanism to such violations, including those occurred in the southern outskirts of Beirut.” The temporary ceasefire had been decided with precise conditions: Israeli stop to displacement and bombing on the Dahiyeh (south outskirts of Beirut), commitment not to hit residential areas in Baghdad and other Iraqi provinces, withdrawal of the elements of the CIA from their operational positions and confinement within the embassy compound. The militia had warned from the beginning that in case of failure to comply with the commitments the “response will be direct and concentrated, with an increase of the intensity of the attacks” at the end of the suspension period. The move comes in a context of strong regional escalation, with the Iraqi Allied militias of Tehran who intensified operations against US targets in retaliation to the ongoing US-Israel military actions.
ARABIA SAUDITA, INTERCETTATI MISSILI BALISTICI SU RIAD
The Saudi Defense today announced the interception of ballistic missiles directed towards the region of Riad and several drones in the Eastern Province, in the context of the ongoing war between the United States-Israel and Iran, entered its twenty-fourth day. According to the official spokesman of the Ministry of Defense of Riad, the brigade general Turki al-Malki, two ballistic missiles were launched towards the capital: one was successfully intercepted by air defenses, while the second fell into an uninhabited area without causing damage or victims. In the Eastern Province, rich in oil installations and critical infrastructure, an additional dron (UAV) was intercepted and destroyed, after many others had been neutralized in previous days (up to 15 or more in some recent nights, according to official sources).
Also on the night between Sunday and Monday, a dron was also shot down in the northern border region. At the same time, Abu Dhabi authorities reported that they had managed the consequences of a successful interception of a ballistic missile: fragments fallen in the Al-Shawamikh area caused minor injuries to an Indian citizen, without serious material damage. These attacks come in reprisal of the thousands of air raids conducted by Israel and the United States on Iranian territory from 28 February, when the joint offensive began, which led to the elimination of the Iranian supreme leader Ali Khamenei and numerous high military and political commanders. Operations hit missile sites, launch platforms, bases and Iranian ships.
Tehran responded by launching hundreds of missiles and drones against Israel and, to an increasing extent, towards US bases in the region and against Gulf countries, accused of hosting American forces. However, most of these carriers have been neutralized by Saudi, hemiratine and other Gulf states, limiting damage to unpopulated areas or interception fragments. Escalation continues to threaten regional stability, with particular risk for energy infrastructure and navigation in the Strait of Hormuz.
