ROMA (ITALPRESS) – Promote the social and working integration of unaccompanied foreign minors and young migrants, through paths aimed at enhancing their skills, increasing employability and supporting the achievement of greater personal and professional autonomy. It is the goal of the agreement protocol signed by Paola Nicastro, president and Ad di Sviluppo Lavoro Italia, and Nicola Dell’Arciprete, coordinator of the Unicef office for Europe and Asia Unicef (ECARO).
“We continue to work to strengthen inclusion policies for vulnerable young people. This Protocol is a concrete step towards an ever more integrated model of intervention, able to set up competences, tools and territorial networks to broaden the opportunities for access to work and training,” Nicastro said. “The goal is to accompany unaccompanied foreign minors and young migrants in structured and personalised paths, which enhance their potential and support their autonomy. In this perspective, the strengthening of synergies between international institutions and organisations makes interventions more effective and lasting, promoting real social inclusion and active participation in the country’s economic life,” he added.
“With this protocol we strengthen our commitment to guarantee each girl and boy, especially the most vulnerable as unaccompanied foreign minors and young migrants and refugees, concrete opportunities to build their future,” said Dell’Arciprete. Within the framework of the agreement, Development of Labor Italy and Unicef will promote joint actions aimed at the dissemination of opportunities between the beneficiaries of Skills4YOUth, the sharing of content and training materials, the strengthening of the competences of the recipients and the expansion of the territorial networks, also through moments of technical-operative comparison. Particular attention will be paid to the development of common practices and the enhancement of good practices, to make interventions increasingly effective, coordinated and sustainable over time, in a logic of complementarity and continuity aimed at overcoming any duplication and overlapping of interventions.
