Renault Symbioz expands the range with the new GPL Eco-G 120 engine

ROMA (ITALPRESS) – Renault enriches Symbioz’s offer with the introduction of the new Eco-G 120 GPL engine, a bi-fuel gasoline/ GPL that aims to combine efficiency, autonomy and reduced management costs. With this novelty, the model stands out in segment C as one of the few proposals to offer this technology, increasingly appreciated by those seeking a concrete alternative to traditional fuels without sacrificing versatility and performance. The new engine comes from the well-known TCe 115 three-cylinder 1.2-litre turbo gasoline, evolved to operate in bi-fuel mode thanks to a system developed and integrated directly into the factory. This approach allows to guarantee levels of reliability and robustness equivalent to those of gasoline engines, while benefiting from the experience gained by the Renault group in over 15 years of development of GPL technology, also shared with the Dacia brand. The result is a motor able to offer a good balance between performance, gear fluidity and energy efficiency. One of the main strengths of the Symbioz Eco-G 120 is the overall autonomy, which can reach up to 1,400 km thanks to the presence of two distinct tanks: 48 liters for gasoline and 50 liters for the GPL. The gas tank is installed instead of the spare wheel, without penalizing the luggage capacity or interfere with the main tank. This configuration ensures great flexibility of use and allows you to deal with long trips by reducing the frequency of supplies. From the environmental point of view, the use of the GPL allows an average reduction of CO2 emissions of approximately 10% compared to the equivalent gasoline engines. The declared values start from 116 g/km of CO2, with consumption of 7,2 l/100 km GPL and 5,9 l/100 km gasoline. Numbers that translate into a concrete advantage even in terms of total operating cost (TCO), which is particularly relevant for private customers and business fleets. Available exclusively with six-speed manual transmission, the new motorization expands the Symbioz range, making it even more complete and accessible. The model is proposed from 25,900 euros in the Evolution, with financing formulas from 109 euros per month. The orders for the Eco-G 120 version are open from March 10, while the first deliveries are scheduled in the second quarter of 2026. With this introduction, Renault strengthens the role of Symbioz as a compact car designed for families, able to meet the needs of everyday mobility with a balanced mix of technology, efficiency and practicality.
