Intesa Sanpaolo with IMI CIB Division strengthens in Spain

MILAN (ITALPRESS) – Intesa Sanpaolo, through the IMI Corporate & Investment Banking Division headed by Mauro Micillo, continues to confirm its leading role in the Spanish market.In 2024 Intesa Sanpaolo ranked among the top 10 banks in syndicated loans in Spain. Confirming this, in the last two years the Division has participated in significant financial transactions, including 13 strategic projects of international significance in the energy and infrastructure sectors, involving Italy and Spain, with a total countervalue of approximately 27 billion euros. These transactions include support, as co-advisor, to the Enel Group in its partnership with Masdar for photovoltaic plants in Spain, and pool participation in financing totaling 6.6 billion euros to support the joint venture between Orange and MasMovil.Also a protagonist in the bond market, the IMI CIB Division participated last week in the placement of four corporate bonds for CriteriaCaixa, Iberdrola, Naturgy and Santander for a total of 6.7 billion. “The Group has been present in Spain for more than 50 years and we intend to further strengthen our commitment in this market.
