Disarticulated import chain, seized 115 million unsafe products: in Ravennate the main hub

ROMA (ITALPRESS) – Rome’s Provincial Command Funds have completed a vast counteract to the placing on the market of non-compliant and potentially dangerous products for health, disarticulating a complex distribution chain and seizing over 115 million articles.

The activity originated from a series of controls carried out in the districts of the Capital by the military of the 5th Metropolitan Operating Nucleus. The first seizure of unconformed goods carried out at retail outlets prompted investigators not to stop at the single trader, but to deepen the entire supply chain up the commercial supply chain. Through the analysis of transport documents and the reconstruction of the flows, the Yellow Flames have identified a society of capital that served as a real national logistic hub for the wholesale distribution of goods imported from China, thus interrupting the supply channel of a multitude of commercial exercises.

The service operation, carried out in collaboration with the yellow flames of the Provincial Command of Ravenna, interested the main hub of the supply chain: a large warehouse located in the ravennate. Inside it has been found an interesting quantity of items ready to be widespread: objects for aesthetics, costumes for parties, masks and accessories for Carnival and Halloween celebrations. The violations found were serious and widespread throughout the commercial axis. The goods were completely devoid of the indications in Italian and of the fundamental information addressed to consumers — provided by the Consumer Code — concerning the materials used, the chemical composition and the possible presence of harmful substances. Such informational deficiencies could have exposed buyers, including numerous minors, to potential health risks.
