LAMPEDUSA (AGRIGENTO) (ITALPRESS) – A tragedy of immigration. Nineteen lifeless bodies and five migrants under serious conditions, including a child, were transported to the Favarolo pier of Lampedusa.
The migrants were on a drifting barcone, about 85 miles off the island, intercepted by motovedettes of the Coast Guard. On the ground, the five survivors were transferred urgently to the polyambulatory. Procedures are under way to identify victims.
