ISTANBUL (TURKEY) (ITALPRESS) – The Israeli consulate of Istanbul was the subject of an armed attack. The Turkish Karar website reports it. According to the first details provided by the Turkish police, a police officer was injured while three attackers were killed.

Turkish Justice Minister, Akin Gurlek, announced the opening of an investigation into the shooting near the Isrelian consulate in Istanbul. “With regard to reports of gunshots near the Israeli consulate in the Besiktas district in Istanbul, the Istanbul Attorney General immediately started an investigation,” said the minister according to the Karar website. “A Deputy Chief Prosecutor and two prosecutors were in charge of investigations; our prosecutors immediately went to the place,” he added. “In order to shed light on all aspects of the episode, the work continues under the coordination of the General Prosecutor, along with the forces of the competent order,” he concluded.
