New presidency for ReMade, Simona Fontana at the head of the Foundation

MILANO (ITALPRESS) – Simona Fontana, Managing Director CONAI, has been appointed president of the ReMade Foundation: will lead the Foundation until March 2027. The appointment comes as a result of the disappearance of Valter Fatto, Managing Director CONAI from 2010 to 2024 and President of the Foundation from spring 2024. “I welcome this assignment with a strong sense of responsibility”, comments Simona Fontana. “In a context where the transition to circular models is increasingly central, ReMade is a concrete tool to enhance the content of recycled products and strengthen the role of public purchases as a sustainability lever. The commitment will be to continue and consolidate this path together with all stakeholders involved. A work in which I will keep in mind the commitment and dedication of Valter Faitto who, besides being my director in CONAI, led the Foundation with great sensitivity in its initial phase”. The Board of Directors CONAI, during the session which saw the appointment of Simona Fontana, approved the financial statements and the social budget 2025, confirming the development of the Foundation’s activities and strengthening its role in support of the country’s environmental and industrial policies. “The appointment of Simona Fontana is a sign of continuity and strengthening for the Foundation’s activities,” says Simona Fali. “In recent years, ReMade has seen growing interest in its certification schemes and initiatives to support Green Public Procurement. We are sure that, with you, we can further develop our contribution to the spread of the circular economy in Italy”. To replace the role until now held by Simona Fontana, he joined the Board of Directors of Fondazione Luca Stramare, director of the Study Centre for the circular economy CONAI. -photo press office CONAI –(ITALPRESS).
