WASHINGTON (UNITED STATES) (ITALPRESS) – “With immediate effect the U.S. Navy, the best in the world, will begin the process of blocking any ship that tries to enter or exit the Strait of Hormuz”, so on Truth American President Donald Trump announced a naval block hypothesis in the Strait of Hormuz area.
In the message published on the platform, Trump speaks of a harsh response to the activities attributed to Iran, accused of imposing “illegal drugs” to the ships in transit and of feeding a situation defined as “global extortion”. “This is global extortion and the leaders of the countries, especially the United States of America, will never be blackmailed,” reads again in the post, in which Trump also states that the U.S. Navy will intercept “any ship in international waters that has paid a toll to Iran.”.
The American president adds that measures will be taken against the alleged mines in the area, claiming that the United States “will begin to destroy the mines that the Iranians planted in the Strait”. In the message there are also direct threats in the event of attacks against military or civilian ships: “Every Iranian who opens fire against us or against civilian ships will be annihilated.”.
Trump also describes a strong weakening of Iranian military capabilities, stating that “their Navy is over, their aviation is over, their radar and anti-aircraft systems are useless.” The message closes with tones of further escalation, in which we read that the U.S. military would be “ready and fully operational” and that “they will finish what remains of Iran”.
The declarations are part of the tensions between the United States and Iran, a strategic area for oil transit and already at the center of previous geopolitical and military crises.
