NABA at Design Week with “Extreme Environments” and numerous initiatives in Milan

MILANO (ITALPRESS) – NABA, Nuova Accademia di Belle Arti is at the Milan Design Week 2026 with “Extreme Environments”, an immersive installation created in collaboration with CIAL, National Consortium for the recycling of Aluminium Packaging. On display from 21 to 26 April at Palazzo Litta (Corso Magenta, 24) in MoscowPartners Variations 2026, which this year has as the theme Metamorphosis. Curated by Claudio Larcher, Andrea Mancuso, Luca Poncellini, Michele Aquila and Sofia D’Andrea, the installation was born from a shared research that involved the students of the Design Area for aluminum installations that make up the exhibition path and those of the Specialistic Biennio in Creative Media Production for the development of audiovisual content. “Extreme Environments” explores the ability of the project to adapt to extreme contexts – climate, social and technological – redefining the very concept of environment and generating new visions. “Extreme Environments” will welcome visitors in a perceptive experience: sculptural totems in aluminum plate dialogue with video content on LED, creating contrasts between natural and artificial, lightness and solidity, reflection and distortion. Metal surfaces become devices capable of amplifying the relationship between space, matter and individual. “To participate in the Milan Design Week 2026, in the context of MoscowPartners Variations at Palazzo Litta, means for NABA to reiterate the value of the project as an instrument of vision and responsibility. With “Extreme Environments” we investigate complex scenarios, where the environment is a climate, social, cultural and technological dimension – says Claudio Larcher, NABA Design Area Leader – Our learning approach by making shape designers able to confront reality and transform its limits into possibilities. Being protagonists of the main international appointment of design means actively participating in the construction of the debate on the future, with critical awareness and ability to innovation.” At Milan Design Week 2026, NABA will also be present with other projects. From 20 to 26 April he is a partner of Archiproducts Milano who presents his new Interior Design project for Milan Design Week 2026: Fòco. Living notes by Studiopepe.
