ROMA (ITALPRESS) – Pakistan has proposed to host a second round of talks between the United States and Iran in Islamabad. The TV report at Jazeera citing official Pakistani sources. According to a high leader in Islamabad, the first talks were not an isolated initiative, but only represent the initial phase of a broader and continuing diplomatic process.
The Pakistani proposal arrives as a fragile ceasefire is in force between Washington and Tehran, with due date within a few days (around 21-22 April). Diplomatic sources indicate that the second round could already be held next Thursday in the Pakistani capital, before the expiry of the temporary truce.
Sources close to mediators emphasize that the immediate goal remains to extend and consolidate the truce, avoiding a return to hostilities on a large scale.

Chinese President Xi Jinping met the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, who is visiting China.
