ROMA (ITALPRESS) – The meeting was held at Palazzo Piacentini between the Minister of Enterprises and Made in Italy, Adolfo Urso, and the Minister of Tourism, Gianmarco Mazzi, aimed at deepening the coordination between industrial policies and enhancement of tourism, considered strategic assets for the competitiveness and growth of the Country System.
At the centre of the interview, the role of the sector as a multiplier of value for international demand and the attraction of the country. In this context, Urso shared with Mazzi the strengths of the national production system illustrated in the White Paper “Made in Italy 2030”, elaborated by Mimit, highlighting the central role, among emerging chains, tourism and leisure and cultural and creative industries. Emblematic in this sense the positive dynamics that are seen from the growth of foreign investors in Italy, increased by 20% in three years, especially in the range of luxury, and the presence of foreign tourists on the territory.
In the course of the comparison, the close connection between Made in Italy and tourism was highlighted, recalling the recent data processed by the statistical office of MiTur from which it emerges that more than 42% of international tourists choose Italy for Made in Italy.
Mazzi stressed that the sector represents a fundamental industry for the nation and that the government is committed to promoting value creation in the sector, even through targeted investments in new technologies and artificial intelligence. He therefore reiterated with Urso the importance of putting at the centre of the agenda mechanisms to promote investments in the tourism sector and, to refinance and reactivate the door of development contracts for tourism, a key tool for attracting investments in the country.
During the comparison space then also to the interventions planned to seasonalize the tourism, attract the so-called “digital navigation” and favor the repopulation of the Italian villages. Urso and Mazzi finally shared the commitment of the two Ministries to contribute to the definition of the operating guidelines for the contrast to false reviews in tourism and catering, as contained in the first annual law on pmi approved in March definitively by Parliament and which had a positive feedback among the operators.
