You have to offer us a stable, reliable and durable environment.” Thus Stellantis CEO Carlos Tavares at a hearing before the House Production Activities and Senate Industry committees. “Considering the 2025 deadline we are ready, we ask you to guarantee us stability on what you have already decided, we are serene. The strategy chosen by the EU is not the best, we think there are other ways but now that the decision has been made we have to make our contribution to ensure that these goals are met,” he explained. “We are not asking for money for us, we are asking for it to give help for your citizens to be able to buy vehicles, for vehicles to be affordable. It is not money that goes to Stellantis, it is money that allows Stellantis to reduce costs and make vehicles affordable. You may or may not decide on the citizens’ purchase decision,” Tavares added during replies after the hearing. “You talked about the lack of any plan.
