ROMA (ITALPRESS) – Renault Twingo E-Tech Electric wins the Car Design Award 2026 in the Production Cars category, one of the most prestigious international awards dedicated to automotive design, conceived in 1984 by Auto&Design magazine. The award was withdrawn by Laurens Van den Acker (Chief Design Officer of Renault Group) at the award ceremony held in the splendid setting of the ADI Design Museum, in the heart of Milan Design Week, confirming once again the central role of design as a strategic lever for innovation and contemporary mobility. The Car Design Award awards design excellence every year through three categories – Concept Cars, Production Cars and Brand Design Language – enhancing creative vision, stylistic coherence and ability to interpret the cultural and technological evolutions of the automotive industry. In the 2026 edition, the international jury made up of journalists from the world’s leading automotive publications awarded the Production Cars award to the Renault design team for Twingo E-Tech Electric, recognizing its strong and distinctive identity. The jury’s motivations emphasize how: “Fortually identity, the vibrant design of Twingo E-Tech Electric combines style, friendliness and accessibility with intelligence. It is a city car able to transform the small format into an authentic style statement, recalling with taste the monovolume form of the original Twingo to conquer both those who lived it in the 1990s and those who discover it today”.
