ROME (ITALPRESS)-With access to the final of the “Rolex ShanghaiMasters,” the penultimate “1000” of the season, Jannik Sinner had already won the certainty of closing at the top of the Atp ranking in 2024. With yesterday’s victory over Novak Djokovic, the Italian tennis player further consolidated the top position. Now Sinner, who won his seventh regional title in Shanghai as well as his third Masters 1000 in 2024, has 11920 points,with the top five behind him unchanged. Second placefor Spaniard Carlos Alcaraz,then Germany’s Alexander Zverev,third. Novak Djokovic remains stable in fourth place, followed by the Russian Daniil Medvedev, while in sixth position TaylorFritz advances, at the expense of Andrey Rublev who drops to seventh place. As for the other Italian nationals, in addition to Sinner, there are six itennists present in the top 50. They are Lorenzo Musetti,Flavio Cobolli, Matteo Arnaldi, Matteo Berrettini, Luciano Darderi and Lorenzo Sonego.
