State Police and Embassy of Ukraine, stay in Verona for 54 Ukrainian minors children of police involved in the war

ROMA (ITALPRESS) – A week dedicated to leisure, sport and culture, between theme parks, city of art and nature: for the second year the State Police, at the request of the National Police Ukraine and the Embassy of Ukraine in Italy, organized a stay for 54 Ukrainian minors, children of police involved in the war events that struck their country. From August 17 to 27, the girls and boys, together with their companions, assisted by representatives of the International Relations Office of the State Police, spent days of relaxation, rest and sharing between Verona, Peschiera del Garda, Lazise, Castelnuovo del Garda and Val di Sole.

The stay, realized thanks to the Inspectorate of the Schools of the State Police, the School Allievi Agenti of Peschiera del Garda and the Questura of Verona, offered the young Ukrainians an opportunity to refresh, personal growth and enrichment. The project is part of the initiatives of the State Police to strengthen cooperation with the homologous foreign institution as a tangible symbol of solidarity between the respective communities and of support to families of those affected by the war.

The initiative also represents a concrete gesture of welcome and closeness towards the smallest, victims of the conflict, offering them an experience of serenity and sharing.
The children were able to visit the Arena of Verona, spent days in the theme parks Gardaland, Caneva and Movieland Park, Parco Natura Viva and Parco Giardino Sigurtà, and started a journey of approach to rugby, sport that well expresses the values of solidarity and sharing, with demonstration and training sessions realized in collaboration with CUS Verona Rugby.
