MANDELLO DEL LARIO (ITALPRESS) – They arrived in more than 60 thousand, the great part in motion, from all over the world for this special edition of the WYD – World Days Moto Guzzi, which coincided with the inauguration of the new factory Moto Guzzi of Mandello del Lario and the new museum. Almost 5 years of work and more than 50 million Euros of investment, have realized one of the most visionary and ambitious projects of industrial architecture of these years. Not only a new factory and a new museum, but a place where ingenuity and technology, myth and passion meet to generate new ideas, to imagine and build the future.
On the four days of the WYD, there were 40 thousand visits to the new site and almost 30 thousand accesses to the Museum which, in 3,000 square meters of modern environments, welcomes the extraordinary collection of 160 motorcycles, many of which are precious unique pieces. The view of the new production lines connects the memory of Moto Guzzi to the future of the brand.
The parade of 1,500 Moto Guzzi of every age, Saturday morning from Lecco to Mandello, was opened by the Corazzieri, the Honor Guard of the President of the Republic, riding the mighty Moto Guzzi California 1400 of ordinance. The party participated all the MotoGP team of Aprilia Racing with drivers Marco Bezzecchi, Jorge Martin, Lorenzo Savadori and the MotoGP Legend Max Biaggi.
In the midst of so many motorcycles and so much passion, there was room also for the most romantic feelings, so that today six couples chose to renew their marriage promises inside the factory, in the large tree-lined square of the Wind Gallery, one of the most iconic places of the establishment, completely restored and renewed.
The stage of Virgin Radio animated all the days of celebration, with guests who talked about racing, travel and adventures while from the heart of the factory the free ride tests started, which allowed about 600 passionate and passionate to try on the road the whole range Moto Guzzi, from the classic V7, to the “Tuttoterreno” V85, the sport tourer V100 Mandello and the great Stelvio traveller.
