BOLOGNA (ITALPRESS) – In Sant’Agata Bolognese, Automobili Lamborghini presented the new Temerario destined to the State Police, in the presence of the Minister of Interior Matteo Piantedosi, welcomed by Chairman and CEO Stephan Winkelmann and the Board of Directors of the company. The ceremony also attended the Prefect Renato Cortese, Central Director of Road Police, Railway and Special Departments of the State Police, representing the Chief of Police – General Director of Public Security, Prefect Vittorio Pisani. The new car will be used in services of higher social value, including the urgent transport of organs and sanitary equipment, alongside the Lamborghinis already operating in the fleet of the State Police. With the new model, Automobili Lamborghini and the State Police renew a collaboration started in 2004. A route started with the first Gallardo entrusted to the Stradale Police, which already in September of the same year carried out the first transport of organs, and continued with the Gallardo LP 560-4, the Huracßn, employed in the years along the main highway arteries of the Country, and the Urus Performante, operating from 2023. In over twenty years there are six specimens entered the fleet of the State Police, protagonists of more than two hundred missions for the transport of organs throughout Italy, contributing in several cases to save human lives. In addition to these there are over a thousand-five hundred road education initiatives dedicated to the diffusion of the culture of safe driving.
With the Temerario, the link between the House of Sant’Agata Bolognese and the State Police enters a new phase, confirming a shared vision in which technological excellence is at the service of the community. The car is driven by an unpublished 4.0 litre V8 biturbo engine, combined with three electric motors, for a total power of 920 hp, and represents a new milestone in the technological evolution of the brand. Performance and efficiency that, in institutional use, translate into the ability to quickly reach the destinations of the most delicate missions. In the course of the event was also presented the volume I motors of the Police, realized by the Institutional Communication Office of the State Police and published by Giunti Editore and Giorgio Nada Editore. The work traces the history of vehicles that, over the decades, have accompanied the activity of the Institution: a journey through cars, motorcycles and special means that also tells a significant part of the history of the Police and the Country. The volume is the result of a long research work, based on the collection and analysis of historical photographs, documents and oral and written testimonies, with a study dedicated to the Lamborghini cars used by the State Police.
