MILAN (ITALPRESS) – In August, according to the data Ancma, the market of the two motor wheels grows, in its total values, of 5,28% with 17,038 vehicles put in the road. Once again, it is the sector of scooters to pull, thanks to a performance of +9.92% and 10.272 units; for the second consecutive month, the bikes record a sign less, although the bending is contained (- 3.9%), and the vehicles registered 5.818; double-digit growth for the mopeds, which incassano a flatter +20.92% and record 948.
It consolidates the positive trend of the annual market, attested by an increase of 11,21% and 291,831 registered vehicles. I note more for all sectors of the sector, starting from the scooters, which make mark an increment of 15,59% and 172.286 registered means; they follow the bikes, which, despite the double false step of July and August, grow of 5,02 and 109,173 units; finally the mopeds, in positive of 10,19% and 10,372 vehicles put in the street. In any case, the August market represents less than 5% of the annual total. It seems now consolidated the recovery of zero-emission vehicles, after a particularly difficult 2025.
Electricians, in fact, grow in August of 31,64% and 595 units, while in the annual cumulation the positive performance is at 21,44% and 7,313 registered vehicles. It gradually recovers the quadricycle market, growing for the third consecutive month. The part of August is, in fact, active of 21,51% and 774 vehicles sold, while the annual total, which still accounts for losses recorded in the first half, is at -4,98% and 11,367 units.
“Motor and scooter are returning to express their identity more clearly: the bike maintains a strong emotional component, while the scooter responds above all to the needs of practical and functional mobility, even in the light of today’s fuel price dynamics. It will be important to continue to monitor the evolution of the main economic indicators, but at the moment they do not seem to emerge structural elements such as to make predict criticalities for the future of the motorcycling market, beyond the physiological oscillations”, comments Mariano Roman, president of Ancma.
