FIRENZE (ITALPRESS) – The vast temporal system that affected part of Tuscany in the night is transited outside the region. More than 63,000 lightnings in the area of Tuscany over the past 12 hours. The intense rainfall has led to increases of the Salarco rivers in Montepulciano and Bruna in Gavorrano at the first level of stable guard. A new intensification may be possible with the activation of new thunderstorms between late morning and afternoon.
BOMBA D’ACQUA SU GROSSETO
Intense night for the Firefighters of Grosseto due to the bad weather that is affecting the province. From the first evening of yesterday to now 30 interventions were carried out, while 15 are currently underway. The operations involve 4 teams of Fire Brigade of the headquarters and 2 teams of the detachments of Arcidosso and Follonica, for a total of 12 vehicles and 30 units. The most interested area is that of Grosseto, where the Firefighters intervened for flooding of apartments and basements, underpasses with cars and heavy means blocked by water, as well as for trees torn down or damaged by the strong gusts of scirocco wind. Other interventions are underway in the area of Arcidosso and Pitigliano, mainly for fallen trees and displacements. There are no wounded people at the moment.
VIOLENTO NUBIFRAGIO SU LIVORNO E CECINA
The Firefighters of the Livorno Command and the detachment of Cecina carried out several interventions last night because of a violent cloud that fell on Livorno, in particular on Cecina. Two teams of Firefighters participated in the operations, one from the detachment and one from the power station. The interventions mainly concerned water damage and flooding of underground premises. There are still some interventions that will be resolved in the morning.
