Drug feud in Bergamasco, 4 stops and seized war arsenal / Video

BERGAMO (ITALPRESS) – Four detention measures, a seized war arsenal and the dismantling of a dangerous criminal faction dedicated to the massacre of drugs in the woods. This is the balance of the complex operation conducted by the prosecutor of the Republic of Bergamo, led by the prosecutor Maurizio Romanelli, who shed light on the dramatic shooting that took place on 21 June 2026 at the pools “Aquamore” of Seriate. The investigations of the Carabinieri have ascertained that that violent armed confrontation represented the nth chapter of a bloody feud for the control of the territory between the group led by the clandestine Moroccan latizer called “Botros”, and the rival faction.

The clash had had a serious precedent on June 15 in the woods of St. Paul of Argon, when a commando of about 12 armed people of Kalashnikov had attempted in vain a homicidal expedition against the rival boss. On June 21, the Botros group entered into action within the busy sports centre of Seriate: while an accomplice opened fire outside the pool with a Kalashnikov AK-47, the same Botros, armed with a gun machine gun Skorpion, chased the rival boss into the bar and the reception room, failing to explode.

The same victim, in the meantime escaped from the house arrests arranged by the Court of Lodi, was subsequently traced and arrested on July 8 by the soldiers in Marcianise, in the Casertano, outside a shopping mall, then providing fundamental details to rebuild the ambush. The prolonged manhunt ended on the night of 29 August in Vigevano, in Corso Milano, where the special forces of the GIS (Special Intervention Group), supported by the API and SOS rates, broke into the house where Botros and the accomplice were hiding.

The two investigators attempted a desperate escape from a first floor window, but were promptly blocked by the military. The searchs connected to the places where the group operated, including Ozzero and Nerviano, allowed to seize a 12-gauge pump rifle, ammunition for AK-47 and about 80,000 euros in cash considered to be the result of the shot. The next investigative activities then led to the identification of the two guards of the arms of the band, intercepted and stopped on August 31 at a fast-food in Oleggio Castello, in the Novarese, after being monitored while checking their forest hiding places.

The systematic sifting of the thick wooded areas between Vittuone, Cisliano and Oleggio Castello, led by the Carabinieri di Bergamo with the support of the Squadron Eliportato Cacciatori “Sicilia” and the cinofile units, has in fact allowed to discover two distinct deposits of underground weapons and protected by transparent film.

In the two underground hideouts, the soldiers disconnected a real arsenal of wararms: three Kalashnikov assault rifles (models AK-47, AKS 74 and SAD-58), an assault rifle SIG 550, an AR-15 assault rifle, hundreds of bullets of various calibers and over 680 grams of stupefying substances among hashish, heroin and cocaine.

To these findings is added the seizure, occurred during the previous searches to Ozzero and Nerviano, of a 12-gauge pump rifle, additional ammunition and about 80,000 euros in cash.

All the weapons and drugs seized were sent to Parma’s RIS for ballistic, datiloscopic and biological checks, while the four stops were taken to Bergamo.
