ROMA (ITALPRESS) – He stabbed the former wife in the chest and accompanied her to the hospital, and then ran away trying to find refuge on the coast. The man, a forty-seven-year-old Roman, was stopped by state police officers after seven hours of tight research.
The first-aid doctors were alerted to the alarm, which, in the face of a picture clearly attributable to an attempted femicide, immediately activated the emergency procedure.
From the first information acquired by the investigators of the Mobile Team, of the Volanti Section and of the Commissioner Tuscolano it emerged that the victim, shortly before, had gone to an apartment of Fontana Candida, where the former husband resided, to recover personal effects. Once he entered, he would have been verbally assaulted by the man who, immediately afterward, would have grabbed a knife by hitting it on his chest four times.
In view of the serious injuries reported by the victim, the ex-husband would have decided to accompany her in the car to the emergency room, bringing her teenage son, who had witnessed the attack.
Once she was assured that her first care would have escaped, always on board the same vehicle, in the company of her son.
According to a first prognosis released by the health caregivers, the suspects turned to the victim would not be mortal only because of “fortuitous events”.
The woman, heard by the investigators once regained consciousness, denounced what happened shortly before, dissolving the veil with which she had hidden a picture of violence suffered in the past, which had determined the break of the conjugal relationship. According to the victim, on other occasions the episodes would have been consumed in the presence of minor children.
The police, developing the first information acquired and crossing them with a series of investigative data, started the research of the alleged author, who lasted for seven hours.
According to the agents, the man, to depose the investigation, would also tamper with the satellite device of which his car was equipped, which was found, just before midnight, in Torvajanica.
The blitz was taken after a few minutes, when the investigators saw the silhouettes of the former husband and son as they returned to the vehicle.
Inside the cabin, in the back seat, a suitcase was found containing some clothes and a drawer with medications, likely to be reconciled by the inquisition from his last home before fleeing.
In Fontana Candida’s home, where the attack would be consumed, a blood-filled knife was finally found and seized, and then recovered by the Scientific Police for the necessary investigations.
On late night, the man was subjected to suspected murder for feministrative attempted crime and accompanied in prison. The judiciary validated the judicial police’s work and provided for him the detention in prison.
