La Locride in the center of a new story from 24 to 30 August with six days between the archaeological parks of Locride with cultural itineraries, music, theater, tastings and moments of comparison.
“From tonight to Sunday, August 30th, an extraordinary journey awaits us in the heart of our history, between sea, archaeology, culture, talk, shows and great music. Because our history does not belong only to the past: it continues to live in the sea, in the millenary stones, in the music and emotions of our beautiful Calabria. A Calabria that preserves its roots and transforms them into beauty, culture and future”.
“LUCE SUI PARCHI – explains Calabrese – is the format dedicated to the enhancement of the archaeological heritage of Locride, scheduled from tonight to Sunday, August 30. A project that focuses on some of the most significant places in Calabrian history and transforms them into meeting spaces, discovery and participation, through a calendar of appointments that interweave archaeology, culture, entertainment, music and territorial identity”.
“It is a project that we want to replicate and which has already obtained the patronage of the Ministry of Tourism, which I thank for the attention and sensitivity shown towards Calabria. The program offers cultural itineraries, visits, moments of narration, shows, tastings, talk and occasions of comparison. Six days in which archaeology becomes the starting point of a wider experience, able to relate heritage, territory and community and offer visitors new ways to know and live the Locris. Finally, the goal is to build a model capable of enhancing archaeological parks through the contamination between history and contemporaneity, involving visitors, communities, operators and enterprises and strengthening the link between cultural heritage, tourism and territory”.
The journey starts from Locri, the suggestive archaeological park and the new Arena Epizefiri, to continue towards the Greek-Roman Theatre of Portigliola, the Ancient Kaulon of Monasterace and the Roman Villa of Casignana. To open the event, this evening in Locri, will be the talk “The story coming from the sea”, followed by the show “Live Show” by Alessandro Siani. A great start to start the event in the sign of irony, participation and the ability of the show to bring our heritage to the center of the attention of a wide audience.
From Alessandro Siani to Loredana Bertè, from Sebastiano Somma to Tosca, passing through Macagnino, the Chilean Orchestra and Carmen Consoli, are the great names chosen to turn on “LUCE SUI PARCHI – The history that comes from the sea”, the kermesse promoted by the Ente for the Regional Marine Parks of Calabria and the Department Tourism of the Calabria Region, led by the Italian Councillor Giovanni Calabrese.
The event will touch some of the places symbol of the archaeological heritage of Locride, bringing together great protagonists of culture and entertainment with the history and beauty of the sites: Alessandro Siani, Loredana Bertè and Carmen Consoli will be protagonists in Locri; in Portigliola Sebastiano Somma; in Monasterace Macagnino and the Chilean Orchestra; in Casignana Tosca.
