Cagliari folds Lecce, 1-0 signed Maldini

CAGLIARI (ITALPRESS) – Cagliari returns to success and centers three points which, in the long run, could prove heavy in the salvation race. The men of Fabio Pisacane are 1-0 Lecce in the match of Unipol Domus: he decides a goal of Daniel Maldini. After just 20 seconds, Romano attempts a left-handed lap from the edge of the area, but Falcone relaxes and blocks the ball. The hosts have a better approach and come to the conclusion even to the 12′, but Maldini does not center the mirror of the door. The first ring of the Giallorossi arrives at 24′ with Coulibaly that, on Pierotti’s cross, tries a scissor, but Caprile is attentive and repulses. After finishing the cooling break, Cagliari hits 29′ with Daniel Maldini who, on the corner kicked by Fazzini, anticipates all and beats Falcone for 1-0. Former Milan dedicates his first goal in red-blue to Kevin Carlos, absent for a serious family mourning. The Sardinian team, galvanized by the advantage, continues to attack and the 34′ Maldini fails a horrific opportunity for doubling, wronging the tap-in after a dismantling Falcone. The latter soon repelled an insidious shooting of Obert.

In the opening of the shoot is still the Cagliari to make the big voice touching the 2-0 to 48′ with Mendy who, at Falcone beat, hits a clamorous pole. Lecce tries to react to the 57′ with a conclusion of Ilic, but ends high above the cross. One minute later, the Sardinians again went close to the goal with Maldini, whose shooting from the edge of the area ends shortly to the side. The former Atalanta is unleashed, so much to center the second pole of day directly on football of punishment to 63′. Mattia Felici, who has recently entered the field, is forced to change due to an injury that worries Fabio Pisacane: in his place debuted Roberto Gagliardini. At 86’ Caprile makes a mistake that is likely to cost expensive to its giving ball to N’Dri, but then the goalkeeper remedies with a providential intervention. In the final an unsurpassed Falcone holds the salentines, closing the door to the conclusions of Fadera and Sugamele. In full recovery the boys of Di Francesco complain a presumed rigour, but Sacchi lets continue and, a few minutes later, decrees the end of the match. By virtue of this victory Cagliari climbs 6 points in the standings, while Lecce remains at 3. The sardi Saturday will be again in the field for the complicated transfer of Bergamo against the Atalanta; for the Apulians, instead, Sunday there will be the home challenge against the Monza at the Via del Mare.
