Campus Salute returns to New York for three days dedicated to preventive health on October 8, 9 and 11, 2026, at La Scuola d’Italia Guglielmo Marconi, located at 12 East 96th Street. The program includes talks for students and parents, nutritional screenings and specialist consultations by appointment. The initiative involves La Scuola d’Italia Guglielmo Marconi, IARL and Progetto Alfa, with ilNewyorkese as media partner. The first two days will focus primarily on students and their families; on Sunday, appointments will be available across several specialties, from endocrinology to dentistry.
The program begins on Thursday, October 8, with a talk by Pasquale Muggione on diet, nutrition and prevention, aimed at students aged 12 to 16. Nutritional screenings using bioelectrical impedance analysis will also take place during the morning, with advance booking and parental consent required. The afternoon will feature a session for parents, who will be able to attend a talk and receive consultations.
On Friday, October 9, Professor Annamaria Colao will meet with students to discuss hormones and their role at different stages of life. Endocrinology consultations for students and parents will also be available throughout the day, both in the morning and in the afternoon.
On Sunday, October 11, activities will run from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., with specialist consultations available by appointment only. Specialties will include urology, with ultrasound examinations available, dentistry, endocrinology and nutrition.
Campus Salute will conclude on Sunday at 7 p.m. with a talk accompanied by an aperitivo.
Campus Salute is an association chaired by Pasquale Antonio Riccio, founded in 2010 to promote preventive health and reduce inequalities in access to healthcare. Endocrinologist Annamaria Colao is among its founders. The association brings specialist consultations, screenings and informational talks beyond hospital settings, setting up temporary clinics in public squares and other public spaces in Italy and abroad. In July, Campus Salute became part of Italia America Reputation Lab, a nonprofit organization based in New York.
Alongside medical consultations, the association runs educational activities, including in schools, to explain how prevention and everyday habits help protect health. Since 2019, Campus Salute has been a founding partner of the UNESCO Chair at the University of Naples Federico II dedicated to health education and sustainable development. In 2021, it was granted special consultative status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council, allowing it to contribute to the body’s work.
