On 4 December 2026 the elections will be held for the renewal of the Com.It.Es. of New York, the body directly elected by the Italian residents in the consular constituency to represent the community in relations with the consular institutions.
Italian citizens who have the requirements for the active electorate, residents and members of the AIRE in the consular constituency of New York for at least six months from the date of the elections.
The vote will happen by correspondence, but the sending of the ballot is not automatic. To receive it, you must ask for registration in the list of voters by 4 November 2026. This is the main deadline for those wishing to participate in the consultation.
To register, you must fill out and sign the form provided by the General Consulate of Italy in New York and attach the copy of an identity document that also bears the signature of the owner.
The documentation can be sent by ordinary e-mail to the electoral [email protected] or through PEC to [email protected]. You can also send the request by post to the Electoral Office of the Consulate General of Italy in New York, at 690 Park Avenue, or deliver it directly to the consular offices.
For delivery in person, the Electoral Office receives from Monday to Friday, from 9 to 13.
The request for registration can also be presented online through the Fast It portal, the digital service used by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for various consular practices addressed to Italians resident abroad.
The deadline of 4 November is therefore valid for all the arrangements provided for: within that date the request must have arrived at the Consulate. Only voters listed in the list can receive the necessary material to vote by mail.
