ROMA (ITALPRESS) – From today to Sunday, September 27 returns to Florence, in Piazza Santa Croce, the Green Florence, the eco-sustainable event that will host a large staging with more than 2,000 square meters of natural grass and secular olive trees.
Promoted by ConfAgricoltura Firenze and Confcommercio Firenze and Arezzo – and with the patronage of the Town Hall and the support of the Chamber of Commerce – the event will turn the square into a garden to offer three days of meetings, reflections on urban spaces and gastronomic stands with products of the members of ConfAgricoltura, together with ConfagriBio, FAI-Federazione Apicoltori Italiani and Képos.
It will be a “journey” that starts from a plant, passes through a bee and arrives to our tables, to discover how everything is connected, and that taking care of nature means at the same time taking care of themselves. During the whole event, students from primary and secondary schools will be able to participate in the educational workshops of the “Il Filo Verde della Salute” path, which will take place during the day, accompanying the children in experiential paths, to discover the Mediterranean plants, the urban gardens, the world of organic agriculture and the fundamental role of the pollinating bees for biodiversity, with the “BeeLab”.
On Sunday, September 27th at 10:30 will be held the conference organized by ConfAgricoltura Firenze and the Képos Association, entitled “Alberi, herb and health: the urban ecosystem, the parks of health and well-being through plants”, in which will be addressed, in two separate sessions, the themes of urban agriculture, the supply chain, beekeeping, parks and medicinal plants, in our city improving the quality of life in our city.
A commitment that ConfAgricoltura has long been carrying out at national level, supporting policies and initiatives that recognize agriculture and urban green heritage as a strategic function for environmental sustainability, citizens’ health and the liveability of the territories. The project “Parchi della Salute”, promoted together with Képos, promotes integration between nature, prevention, social inclusion and care. Local administrators, industry experts, will take part with testimonies of the nursery and apistic chain.
