Catholic University, dialogue between the writer Beccalli and the CEO of Lamborghini Winkelmann

CREMONA (ITALPRESS) – Strengthening the alliance between universities and enterprises to enhance talent and create an ecosystem of functional knowledge for the future of Made in Italy and in support of the competitiveness of the country. It is the commitment that Elena Beccalli, Rector of the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart, and Stephan Winkelmann, Chairman & CEO of Automobili Lamborghini, dialogue with students and students during the meeting “Guidare (al) excellence”, promoted on Tuesday, September 15 on the Cremona campus of the University.

“The event with Lamborghini shows how important we attach to the alliance between universities and the business world. The relationship with the enterprises, in fact, is one of the five pillars of the Strategic Plan: to strengthen this relationship means to build training paths closer to the transformations of work, to generate new opportunities for young people and to contribute, with qualified skills and vision, to the development of the country”, said Rector Elena Beccalli in his intervention in a gremite Aula Magna of the Santa Monica campus of the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart. “This is precisely the distinguishing figure of our University which, with its 45,000 students on the 5 campuses, is the largest Catholic university in Europe: to be a workshop for the formation of tomorrow’s leaders who will be called to lead, among other things, companies and institutions in Italy and the world,” he added.

The value of Made in Italy was at the heart of the meeting, together with the significance of excellence in the great organizations, the ability to recognize and grow talents, the skills required for new generations, the leadership and the relationship between university education, innovation and enterprise, in a global scenario marked by profound economic, social and industrial changes that are redefining also the sectors of automotive and luxury. To tell what today represents the automotive company, born in 1963 in Sant’Agata Bolognese by the visionary genius of Ferruccio Lamborghini, was Chairman & CEO Stephan Winkelmann.

“Excellence is not a goal reached once and for all, but a path of continuous evolution. Today sectors such as automotive and luxury compare with deep changes that are redefining markets, business models and competitive dynamics. In this context, dialogue between universities and enterprises is fundamental to develop skills, vision and ability to adapt, essential elements to address the future successfully.” This is why “the collaborations with companies of excellence are a privileged channel not only to intercept and attract talent, but also to write together the future of Made in Italy”, said Rector Beccalli.

“Lamborghini, in fact, is not only a successful business case, but also an emblematic example of that Italian ability to generate value and style from the territories, projecting them into global markets. It is precisely in this balance between local rooting and international openness that is one of the deepest forces of Made in Italy”.
