Partnership between Pfizer and Vite Vere Down Dice cooperative renewed

ROME (ITALPRESS) – Projects supporting the inclusion of people with disabilities are returning to the SIFO 2024 Congress, the annual meeting of the Italian Society of Hospital Pharmacology. Thanks to a renewed agreement between Italsky, a company specializing in setting up fairs and congresses, and Cooperativa Vite Vere Down Dadi, a nonprofit organization supporting people with disabilities and their families, staff provided by the cooperative will join the staff in force at the SIFO 2024 event. Hosting the cooperative is the booth of Pfizer, a pharmaceutical company that promoted the initiative and has always been at the forefront of fostering a culture of Diversity Equity & Inclusion, including among its suppliers. The Cooperative Vite Vere Down Dadi (www.cooperativavitevere.org) provides services, resources and promotes the social, educational and employment inclusion of people with disabilities, working to improve their quality of life and promoting a more inclusive society. Sara was interviewed to give a two-part account of her past experience that she will replicate at SIFO 2024 these days. What were your main responsibilities within our booth? “I performed the job of hostess and serving coffee to visitors asking for information. I worked hard to welcome all people to the best of my ability, with a smile and lots of kindness.” What activities intrigued and appealed to you the most? “I got along very well with colleagues who always welcomed me with a smile. And I am glad that I learned a new job and had the opportunity to meet many new people. Last year’s edition was a good experience, and I am really happy to come back to SIFO these days as well.” SIFO Congress 2024, whose theme is “Next Generation Pharmacy: Mission, Vision and Value,” is attended each year by thousands of health professionals including pharmacologists, pharmacists, health system managers, pharmaceutical and medical devices companies. Dozens of meetings are dedicated precisely to the topics of innovation and evolution of the National Health System in its regional and local declinations.Vite Vere Down Dadi Cooperative’s Autonomy Project Manager Jehona Sehu said, “We are deeply proud of the renewed participation of people with disabilities from Vite Vere in this project. For us, inclusion is a paramount condition for building work environments where professionalism can express itself without barriers. We strongly believe that the work context should be a place where differences are not only welcomed, but become engines of growth and innovation. The people who follow the path of autonomy within our cooperative bring unique skills that can enrich and transform the corporate culture. We thank Pfizer for making this initiative possible, which we are sure can serve as an example and inspiration for all companies wishing to adopt inclusive practices. “Adriano Cristinziano, chairman of the Organizing Committee says, “This year’s talk is about a pharmacy projected into the future. The congress will cover sustainability, including environmental sustainability, but also new developments that may affect DM 70, PNRR and the national health system in general. We will be talking a lot about the future with topics such as robotization, automation, intelligence. “Pfizer’s Sunflower project focuses on the importance of accessibility and inclusion for everyone, regardless of physical or cognitive abilities: it is part of a broader commitment of Pfizer in Italy, which through a cross-functional team has been working for several years to create a more inclusive work environment that is open to valuing diversity, where every individual can have the opportunity to live a full and fulfilling life. Inclusion and equal opportunity for every person, summarized in the Parity Opportunity goal, are globally Pfizer’s ESG priority, along with the NetZero ecological goal. “Pfizer is committed to reflecting the diversity of the company in all its activities, both internal and external, promoting inclusiveness in its broadest sense. We are returning to SIFO again this year with the goal of reaffirming our approach and inspiring others not to limit opportunities where no real barriers exist,” says Enrico Bovi, who, in addition to leading Pfizer Italy’s Customer Engagement Platform, is the manager on Diversity, Equity and Inclusion issues for the entire Italian subsidiary. Ugo Trama, president of the SIFO Congress, concludes, “Changing cultural attitudes about disability means becoming aware of what it means, activating empathetic processes of respect, solidarity and positive inclusion. In a rapidly evolving social context, where attention to the other is increasingly distracted and superficial, SIFO pays attention to all disabilities. “With the SIFO Congress 2024, Pfizer also confirms its planning within the congress supply chain by sharing an increasingly inclusive approach.
