Fiat the clear leader of city cars in Europe with Panda and 500e

TURIN (ITALPRESS) – In the first nine months of 2024, FIAT continues to dominate the city car sector with the Panda and 500e. These two Italian icons are at the top of the European city car and electric city car market. Thanks to these successful models, the brand perfectly represents sustainable urban mobility, both hybrid and electric. Thanks to its enormous popularity, the Panda has exceeded 100,000 units sold this year, a major milestone. In September, this iconic car reached 24 percent market share, up 4 percent from the same period in 2023, and 26 percent year-on-year. In Italy, the growth was incredible, reaching 60% on a monthly basis and 56% on a yearly basis, thus consolidating its leading position in the market. The Fiat 500e confirmed that it is the best-selling electric city car in its segment in Europe, with a 63% market share in September and 45% year-on-year. Fiat’s jewel also leads sales in Italy with a 29 percent share, in France with 49 percent, in Germany with 48 percent, and in the United Kingdom, where it has the highest market share, with an incredible 80 percent again among EV city cars. The two Fiat models are true icons of Made in Italy and offer complementary solutions for electrified urban mobility where the Turin-based brand continues to be a leader.Since its first delivery to customers in July, Fiat Topolino has dominated the electric quadricycle market in Italy, reaching a 47 percent share. Broadening to the entire quadricycle market, the share is 28 percent. Fiat continues its mission to develop sustainable mobility for cities where electric driving becomes easy and accessible to all.
