ROME (ITALPRESS) – “On Oct. 22, 2022, exactly two years ago, I was sworn in as prime minister. Today, two years later, if I look back, I think above all that I never spared myself. But I also think that I am satisfied with the results and goals we have achieved for Italy in these two years, and I am also aware of how much work there is still to be done.” Thus, in a video on social media, Premier Giorgia Meloni, on the occasion of the second anniversary of her government.
“In these two years,” she stressed, “our government has worked tirelessly to implement the program with which we had presented ourselves before the Italians and on which we had obtained the trust of many of them at the elections of September 25, 2022. “In these years we have returned Italy to a new centrality on the international scene,” he adds, “we have relaunched economic growth and employment, we have achieved several historical records: never so many jobs, never so many stable jobs, never so many permanent contracts, never so many working women. We have protected our industrial production fabric from the effects of the energy crisis and geopolitical challenges. We have initiated reforms that were decades overdue in this nation.” “We secured the state’s accounts, defended the purchasing power of families, with special attention to those who had children and the most vulnerable groups in our society. And we have allocated to health care a level of resources that no government had ever allocated before,” continued Premier Giorgia Meloni, who stressed, “In the coming years we will continue to work with determination, with commitment, to consolidate these results and to fully respect the pact we signed with Italian citizens.”
“We are aware of the challenges ahead, but we are also aware that together we can build a stronger, safer, more prosperous Italy for all. Thank you for your trust and support, because they are the engine that drives us forward. As long as you are there, we are there too,” he concludes.
