CAGLIARI (ITALPRESS) – Bologna is back to breathing as it gets a breakaway victory. The second league success for Vincenzo Italiano’s team comes in the away match in Cagliari and with a dominated match, sealed at 2-0 signed by Orsolini and Odgaard but also and above all by the sumptuous performance of Ndoye. Italiano dusts off De Silvestri and has to postpone the return of Ferguson, knocked out with flu: in the 4-2-3-1 there is Odgaard behind Castro. Nicola responds with 3-4-2-1 and Viola-Gaetano behind Piccoli, choosing to defend with a covered 4-4-1-1. They immediately push the islanders, who have a resounding double chance with Piccoli and Gaetano. Bologna is saved, relying its offensive maneuver on Ndoye’s bursts and Orsolini’s shot. The offensive outfielder tries on several occasions, but is inaccurate or kicks high. The fourth time is the charm, with the bolide that leaves Scuffet no chance at 36′. The assist is the Swiss’s own and Cagliari reacts immediately, coming close to equalizing with Piccoli: Skorupski deflects in the corner and sends everyone to the rest on 1-0 for the guests. In the second half, Bologna knocks on with Ndoye and doubles at 51′: the assist is by Lucumì, the perfect shot by Odgaard. The former Inter and Sassuolo player strikes with a cinematic low volley and effectively closes the game. Gaetano engages Skorupski and Nicola reverses his formation, inserting Lapadula and switching to two forwards, but Cagliari creates no real chances. There are no gasps from the islanders, who fall flat in their play and fail to scratch Italiano’s defensive system. Bologna could thus manage the pace in the final and exult for a wide and well-deserved result: there was no history at the Unipol Domus, just 2-0 for the guests. The Felsinians chase away the wave of ties and, with their second win, climb to 12 points. Thus, the red zone, set by Lecce at 8, moves away, while it is very close for Cagliari. A shock performance and some bad formation choices bring Nicola back into the fight-salvation, with only one point (for now) on the third-last. – photo Ipa Agency -(ITALPRESS)
