Lancia and Sparco together for a return to the world of rallying

TURIN (ITALPRESS) – Lancia marks its return to the world of rallying and does so with the support of Sparco, its historic technical partner. The partnership, which began in the golden years of rallying, is renewed today with the Rally 2025 program, featuring the new Ypsilon Rally4 HF, which represents the evolution of Lancia’s rally cars, combining advanced technology and high performance. It is built on a CMP MHEV platform, which provides light weight and torsional rigidity. The car is equipped with a welded tube trellis safety cage for a high-performance, safe chassis that meets the highest FIA standards. At the heart of the Ypsilon Rally4 HF is a 1.2-liter turbocharged 3-cylinder engine delivering 212 hp, mated to a 5-speed mechanical transmission supplied by SADEV, with a mechanical self-locking differential for optimal power and traction management. McPherson suspension with 3-way adjustable Ohlins dampers offer perfect tuning for every driving style, allowing drivers to customize the car’s setup to suit the type of course. The asphalt configuration includes 330mm ventilated disc brakes, which provide powerful and precise braking, essential for tackling the more challenging courses typical of Italian rallies, characterized by continuous climbs and descents. Luca Napolitano, CEO of Lancia, said, “We are thrilled to partner with Sparco in this important return to the world of rallying. The passion and expertise that Sparco has demonstrated over the years fits perfectly with our vision. With the Ypsilon Rally4 HF, we want not only to honor our sporting tradition, but also to project Lancia into the future with an innovative and sustainable approach. “Sparco will provide the driver and co-driver with a complete kit of racing apparel-which includes overalls, undersuits, gloves, and shoes-developed from the highest levels of safety, comfort and performance and the result of ongoing research and development. It will also provide all technical safety aids for the car-including seat belts, steering wheel, driving pedals and the installation of innovative Matrix seats. Developed from innovative efficient construction technology in line with the new 8855-2021 technical regulations, they represent the cutting edge of fiberglass seats.
