EMPOLI (ITALPRESS) – In the postponement of the 11th day of Serie A, Empoli folds Como 1-0 and returns to victory after five days of fasting. At the Castellani, the man of the match is Pietro Pellegri, author of the decisive goal at 47′. Both formations come to this engagement after a series of uninspiring results. One feels, therefore, the weight of the three points at stake today: the result is a tactical match, with a rather low pace and few emotions, especially in the first half. In the second half, however, Empoli woke up from the torpor and legitimized the victory, creating several goal balls and defending with self-sacrifice. At 75′, the newly-entered Colombo also goes close to scoring, starring in a shot from thirty yards that ended just wide. On the other side, Como yes raises its center of gravity, but creates little, despite the substitutions also of Cutrone, Paz and Cerri. During the final assault the heroic interventions of Viti and Ismajli secure a valuable result for Empoli.
