ROME (ITALPRESS) – Ivan Juric has been exonerated. The announcement comes from Roma minutes after the triple whistle that sealed the Giallorossi’s 3-2 home loss to Bologna. “We want to thank Ivan Juric for his hard work in recent weeks,” it reads. “He has managed a difficult environment with the utmost professionalism, and for this we are grateful. We wish him all the best for his future.”
Roma also lets it be known that “the search for a new head of the technical area has already begun and will be announced in the coming days.”
“We immediately wanted to issue the official statement, a thank you is due for coach Juric who arrived in a difficult situation. He gave his best from day one, now it is time to reflect to make the best decision in the interest of the club. Juric has a very ambitious type of soccer, but this is not the time to cling to excuses. He did his best in a complicated moment. We apologize to the fans, we are all responsible for this situation.” Stating this, in a roundabout way, was Roma’s sporting director Florent Ghisolfi at the microphones of Dazn. “Now I can say that Friedkin’s goal is to win, as it is for the fans. We will try to manage this crisis, but I don’t like the word transition. We are Roma and we have to overcome this moment. All that remains is to assume our responsibilities,” the Giallorossi executive added.
Among the papable candidates for Roma’s bench is Roberto Mancini, with whom the Giallorossi management has reportedly already had initial contacts.
After 12 league matches, Roma is in 12th place with just 13 points to their credit.
