Beninati re-elected president of Italian Badminton Federation

ROME (ITALPRESS) – Building on the results achieved at the Paris 2024 Olympics and Paralympics and confirming them, while investing in training and development in the territory. These are the main points of the program of Carlo Beninati, who was confirmed at the head of the Italian Badminton Federation for the third consecutive term after obtaining 85.5 percent of the votes in the elective assembly held at the Salone d’Onore of the Coni. “We want to consolidate and strengthen the presence of Italian athletes at the Olympic level, confirming the men’s qualification (after the first, historic one, obtained with Giovanni Toti, ed.) and preparing the qualification in the women’s singles,” the words of Beninati, who explained that with Toti and with Rosa De Marco’s participation in the Paris Paralympics “a line has been drawn.” Not only high level, because “the federation’s commitment will be in many areas, one above all training, which also includes the training of technicians, officials and managers of sports associations, as well as development and promotion in the territory. We are rolling up our sleeves to start again with more strength without looking in the mirror, because we have achieved a minimal result compared to what we can achieve by working even harder for the future,” Beninati concluded. Also present for a greeting was the president of the Paralympic Committee, Luca Pancalli: “From the very first hour you have accepted the commitment to share the goal with the CIP, achieving the important result of the first qualification for the Paralympic Games. With this commitment you are participating in something much bigger, which is the transformation of the country: to give a hope and a smile is sometimes worth more than any medal. “As for the federal councilors, in executive quota were elected Federico Bianchi, Lucia Cannata, Luca Colusso, Francesco Feliziani, Giuseppe Lassandro and Massimo Merigo; in athlete quota Giovanni Greco and Claudia Nista; in technician quota Franca Patrizia Piacentini. Finally, Maurizio Attilio Amadio was elected president of the Board of Auditors.- photo spf/Italpress -(ITALPRESS).
