ROME (ITALPRESS) – Wide-ranging and well-deserved victory for Cleveland in the big match with Denver on Italian night of the NBA regular-season. Buoyed by 28 points from Mitchell, the match’s top-scorer, the Cavaliers knocked off the Nuggets 126-114 on the home floor of the Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse and legitimized their lead in the East. Another triple-double by Jokic was not enough for the Colorado quintet. Sprinting success for the New Orleans Pelicans, who bent the Phoenix Suns’ resistance 126-124 with 29 points from Ingram and 25 from McCollum (28 from Booker for the Arizona team). Deprived of Curry and Green, the Golden State Warriors party in front of their fans by outscoring the Houston Rockets 99-93 with 33 points from an immarcable Kuminga and 23 from Wiggins. Outside blow for the Chicago Bulls, who eviscerated the San Antonio Spurs’ den 139-124: tipping the scales in favor of the Illinois franchise was Vucevic, capable of contributing to the cause with a 39-point haul. Home affirmation, finally, for the Memphis Grizzlies, who imposed 115-110 on the Sacramento Kings despite DeRozan’s 26 points and Monk’s 23 (Bane’s 18 among the hosts).
