ABU DHABI (EMIRATES ARABIA) (ITALPRESS) – It closes in the sign of McLaren on Friday of the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, the last round of the Formula One World Championship that stops at the Yas Marina circuit in the United Arab Emirates. After the morning session that had seen Charles Leclerc lap with the best time (1’24″321), in the second session it was Lando Norris on McLaren who was the fastest, thanks to his 1’23″517. First time on the grid with which the British driver managed to put himself ahead of his teammate, Oscar Piastri, just over two tenths away, and Nico Hulkenberg, third and surprise of the day on his Haas in 1’23″979. Disappointing this time is Ferrari, fourth with Carlos Sainz and sixth with Leclerc – who will be penalized ten grid positions for changing the battery pack on his SF-24 -, struggling in terms of race pace compared to almost all the cars on the track. Scattered instead are the two Red Bulls, 14th and 17th respectively with Sergio Perez and Max Verstappen, while Lewis Hamilton, six tenths off Norris’ time, closes the top five. – photo Ipa Agency -(ITALPRESS).
