PALERMO (ITALPRESS) – It was a special morning for ISMETT’s Pediatrics Department in a magical and evocative atmosphere, the Palermo hospital was invaded by Christmas cheer, with Christmas music, gifts and special guests. Arriving was, in fact, Santa Claus escorted by two special helpers: Ciccio Graziani, world champion with the 1982 national soccer team, and Andrea Lucchetta, the volleyball player who was world champion in 1990 and three-time World League winner between 1990 and 1992. “For us it is a pleasure and an honor to be here today to pay homage to these children, to bring them some comfort and give them some serenity,” Ciccio Graziani emphasizes. “It is an important, beautiful and unique experience that fills us with pride. With our presence we want to witness our closeness to these children and wish them all the best things that life can give. We are happy to be here this morning, it is a very beautiful thing indeed. “To organize the initiative the Fila Museum Foundation, which has been committed for several years in favor of solidarity initiatives, and the 11th Police Department of the City of Palermo. Ciccio Graziani and Andrea Lucchetta are testimonials of the Fila Foundation’s “Getting to know each other with a smile” initiative.Santa Claus brought gifts and toys to all hospitalized children, giving them and their parents a carefree moment. Champions Lucchetta and Graziani spent time with the young patients, playing with them, signing autographs and talking with them. “We have been involved in these initiatives for many years,” stressed Annalisa Zanni of Fila Museum, “We are stubborn, and with Andrea, with Ciccio, with the Palermo police and with ISMET, we will win the biggest battle.
